What is colour therapy? My newspaper vendor asked very tongue in cheek, is that when you decorate a room, it turns out to be the wrong colour and you get grief from the missus then you need colour therapy!!! Ha ha I laughed…. (tickled by his remark) sounds about right I said. Well he’s not too far wrong is he? The colour of our living space is most conducive to our wellbeing, and if we place the wrong colour on the walls it can be very unsettling and uncomfortable so yes he definitely would need colour therapy!
Colour therapy teaches us the correct use of colours in our homes, offices and dress, in order to enhance our wellbeing. It is a non intrusive holistic treatment which enables the body to heal itself mind, body and soul by means of the vibrational energies of colour and light. The aim is to seek to balance the energies within ourselves. Research has shown we are actually beings of light (German biophysicist Dr Fritz Popp discovered that cells in the body emit low levels of light) and in order to be healthy we need energy from the full colour spectrum.
